Are you ready to make a difference in a non-traditional educational setting? Have you dreamed of a classroom where your students have 1:1 support almost all day?

Teachers will create lesson plans and teach those plans to students in small groups, track student progress, reinforce classroom rules, and manage students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, lunch time, etc. Grades will range from 1st to 12th grade.

Skills:

  • Applicants must have at least a Bachelors’ degree.
  • Preferred experience with children with disabilities and ABA.

Santiago & Friends | Family Center for Autism’s mission is to provide culturally responsive, family centered interventions for individuals with autism spectrum disorders through the services of early intervention and behavior analysis. Santiago & Friends provides a range of clinic-based and in-home ABA services for children with developmental delays, esp. Autism Spectrum Disorders in Orlando, Florida.

BCBA Role

Santiago & Friends | Family Center for Autism seeks an exceptional BCBA with a clinical background in Applied Behavior Analysis. Santiago & Friends provides a range of center-based and in-home ABA services for children with ASDs. The BCBA will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing supervision of the ABA services provided by Santiago & Friends. The BCBA serves a critical role in our team-based model of servicing ABA therapy clients. The BCBA provides extensive training and coaching to Associate therapists. The BCBA also works closely with the Program Director to develop programs, create materials for therapy, and prepare data for review and decision making. BCBA will also conduct individual therapy with clients.

Reports to: Latino Leadership Executive Director and Program Director

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee client enrollment in ABA services
  • Complete all new client clinical documentation within specified timeframe
  • Conduct and Complete initial Assessment
  • Develop Individualized Behavior Program and Master Treatment Plan
  • Complete treatment plan reviews
  • Develop and implement Individualized Treatment Plans(ITPs) under the direction of the behavior analysts/consultants
  • Monitor IBPs monthly, document, and maintain summarized raw data
  • Monitor individual’s progress, and make changes as needed
  • Participate in Treatment Team meetings with program manager, other BA’s, shift supervisors and psychiatrist to coordinate services
  • Complete all billing documentation related to service provision
  • Assist office manager in ensuring that services are being provided according to service authorization
  • Collaborate with a clinical leadership team to continuously improve the therapeutic model
  • Supervise Associate Therapists and BCaBAs
  • Build relationships with parents, the community, and local leaders
  • Provide direct clinical services and consultative services
  • Maintain a strong professional presence at conferences and within organizations, associations, publications, and other professional networks in the field
  • Maintain the highest professional and ethical standards in the center
  • Opportunity to be involved in research for publication

    Qualifications:

  • PH.D./Psy.D./Master’s in Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Special Education, Social Work, or related field required
  • BCBA Certified
  • At least two years of experience serving individuals with ASDs and other related disabilities
  • Strong knowledge and deep understanding of behavior analytic therapies; preferred experience delivering these services
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish preferred
  • Experience building, leading, and managing a human service organization
  • Significant experience with staff training and supervision
  • Ability to create and present trainings/workshops for parents
  • Record of success in previous positions as evidenced by excellent references
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Technologically adept and enthusiastic

As a Student Success Coach with Santiago & Friends Academy you will work in a non-traditional educational setting helping extraordinary children achieve SUCCESS. You will work under the direction of an educational navigator to support individual children on their student success plans. Daily duties will vary depending on the needs of the students. If applying for this position we ask that you have a passion for children, education, and positive outcomes.
